Rules for Teenagers wanting to lose weight

This article contains some of the most powerful rules in losing weight for teenagers (also applies to adult). Here, are the rules to follow in order to lose those unwanted fats.

1. Eat Healthily! Starvation is not the Solution

It is very common for teenagers to want to lose some weight. Most of the time, teenage girls will want to lose those unwanted fats in order to get attention from the opposite sex. Now, these desires to lose weight gets more intense whenever there are going to attend a special function, a dance or a prom.

The first thing that a teenage girl would do is to starve herself to death so that she would look great for the guy she is in love. She would accomplish her desired weight whenever she starves herself to death, but it would be hard for her to maintain that figure since it is not natural. There would come a time when she is going to be bigger than she is now since her body craves for food for a long time.

There are also cases when a girl suffers from disease associated with weight loss. One of the most common forms of disease is to develop spots all over their body. When that happens, the girl is going to miss a lot of special occasion because she needs to be tended by her doctor.

2. Healthy Eating is Better Than “Dieting”

Some adults become sickly because of they had not taken care of their body when they were younger, they tried to lose weight in an unhealthy way during their teenage years. People need to understand that diet is not an option for teenagers since their body needs all the nutrients in order to reach their full growth capacity. They can try dieting when they reach the age of 18. By this time, their body is now complete.

Until that time, teenage weight loss should not be taken into account without consulting the doctor. The doctor will then suggest dietitian who would be able to recommend a safe and healthy diet. A diet that he knows that the patient could manage, therefore, permits healthy growth and weight loss control.

3. Dieting Can Causes Health Problems in Teens?

Like I said before, dieting should not be considered as it could result to health problems. During the teen years, between the ages of 12-17 years, approximately 90% of your body frame structure and bone mass of an adult laid down as a foundation. This not the time to be robbing their body of the essential vitamins which it requires like calcium, vitamins C&D.

During teen years, even a short period of “strict dieting” could lead to a low bone density level. Low bone density weakens the bones in people’s later years; they become fragile and are prone to fractures and breakage.

Teen Dieting can also cause frolic acid and iron to depreciate, both of which may prevent the teenager from becoming anemic. An anemic individual tends to tire easily. Their intellectual functioning becomes impaired.

Weakening of the bone is not the only problem that teenager under diet may suffer, but that is another story to tell.
